หลังจากวนเวียนไปหา Nokia E75 แล้วก็ผิดหวังกับรูปทรงที่เล็กไปหน่อย ประกอบกับ software ของ nokia E75 ไม่รองรับระบบ VOIP ที่ผมต้องการใช้ จึงหันหน้ากลับไปหา E71 ตามเจ้านายสุดที่รัก ท่ามกลางเสียงแซวว่าสุดท้ายก็ต้องยอม nokia ซึ่งยอมรับเลยว่า Nokia E-series นั้นเหมาะกับการใช้ VOIP จริงๆ เพราะค่อนข้างสะดวก ในขณะที่ Blackberry ยังไม่มี software ออกมารองรับการใช้งาน VOIP เลย

แต่สำหรับเรื่อง push mail แล้ว คงต้องยอม Blackberry

เนื่องจากหากเราไม่ได้ใช้บริการ Nokia Intellisync ซึ่งต้องมีการไปพัวพันกับการแก้ไข mail server ของบริษัทแล้ว เราจะไม่สามารถใช้บริการ nokia messaging กับ mail account ขององค์กรเราได้เลย ซึ่งต่างจาก Blackberry ที่ไม่มีปัญหากับ mail องค์กรเลย

This gadget from Taiwanese Manufacturer, Zyxel. VOIP WiFi Phone model P-2000W_V2, it uses SIP protocol to establish the voice over internet protocol (VOIP) service. You can see the official datasheet here and user’s manual here.

I have a chance to play with it few days and here are some feeling that I have got.

Looks

1) The phone size is quite slim and sure you can grab it easily. You can see its size compare to AA battery.

WiFi

2) The WiFi signal strength when unplugged power adapter is not quite strong, this may sometime causes connection lost.

3) In the WiFi security, you can use WEP security only.

4) This image will show when phone is trying to synchrozie the WiFi network and after it can registered with SIP server.

Conclusion

This gadget is quite convenience for mobile using, especially when your location has widely spread of WiFi network. Big telecom carriers in Thailand start to provide VOIP service, so this kind of gadget may grow up in business user group in few years.

ก็เป็นเกร็ดเล็กน้อย สำหรับท่านที่จะเลือกซื้อ ATA (Analog Telephone Adapter) เพื่อนำไปใช้งาน VOIP (Voice Over IP) หรือโทรศัพท์ผ่านอินเตอร์นะครับ ก็มีมากมายหลายยี่ห้อให้เลือกใช้กัน แต่สำหรับยี่ห้อ Linksys รุ่น PAP2 นั้น ก็อยากให้ดูในรายละเอียดชื่อรุ่นสักนิดนะครับ เพราะจะมีอยู่ 2 รุ่น คือ PAP2T กับ PAP2_CAT

ทั้ง 2 รุ่นนี้จะมีฮาร์ดแวร์ที่เหมือนกัน แต่สิ่งที่จะต่างกันคือ รุ่น PAP2_CAT นั้นจะเป็นรุ่นที่ทำมาสำหรับใช้บริการ VOIP ของ CAT Telecom เท่านั้น เราไม่สามารถแก้ไขค่าใดๆในตัวอุปกรณ์ได้เลย แต่่ในรุ่น PAP2T นั้นคุณจะสามารถแก้ไขค่าต่างๆได้ทั้งหมด ดังนั้นหากคิดจะซื้อหามาใช้ก็อย่าลืมสังเกตกันนิดนึงนะครับ มิฉะนั้นอาจจะเจอปัญหาในการใช้งานได้
